The system's language is greek (according to the forementioned powershell output), its "bitness" is 64 and the isos that were used were (in order of usage) Code: Win10_22H2_Greek_x64v1.iso el-gr_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_22h2_updated_sep_2024_x64_dvd_377ddb19.iso el_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_2004_updated_may_2020_x64_dvd_d17e4731.iso The owner said that he would backup his files yesterday and do a clean installation if nothing can be done. I will contact him later and if he has not proceeded to it, I will try your tool. Thank you in advance
This ISO should be the correct one, but can the user show us screenshots of the upgrade setup windows?
Sorry, but I'm a bit confused when you say "both are 19041." I saw you say the same in a reply to another user. Would you please help me to understand? Based on a Microsoft page I can't link to because I'm a n00b (but it's titled "Windows 10 release information"), I thought Win 10 IoT Enterprise 21h2 LTSC was build 19044, and Win 10 Enterprise 22h2 was 19045. What am I missing? I agree that I can go ahead and try, and I will, because I have two desktops with a butt load of that I want to upgrade, and not having to do a complete wipe and reinstall would be really nice. Thanks for you input.
All 19041/2/3/4/5 are actually all 19041, setup won't be able to see if it is 19041/2/3/4/5 so you can upgrade between them, only the upgradepath directly to IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC is (iirc) not available, hence the upgrade to Enterprise 2021 LTSC and next switch to IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC advise or try my tool, or info provided in the tool thread, and it could enable you to directly upgrade from Win 10 Enterprise to IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC.
If your tool would enable me to upgrade directly from Win 10 Ent 22h2 to Win 10 IoT Ent 21h2, that would be great, as it would save having to reinstall a bunch of apps! I'll try it either tonight, or tomorrow. Thank you!!
Thank you for clearing that up for me. Now I just have to look for an ISO of the most recent Win 10 IoT Ent that was released on 10 SEP 2024.
There is just one Enterprise 2021 LTSC build ISO released in all languages and IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC only in x64 en-US. ISOs: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1705449
Geez. Again I misunderstood that Microsoft Win 10 Releases page. It shows a "Latest revision date" of 10 September 2024 for Win 10 IoT Ent LTSC, so I took that to mean release date of an ISO.
Not the first thing MSFT confuses people with their information, they meant the latest update/delta build. LTSC ISOs never will get refresh ISOs (at least till now), only when they f**k up stuff like with 2019 LTSC (twice).
Thank you very much for taking the time to figure this out! I'll attempt the conversion/upgrade tonight or tomorrow and report back my results.
If they do a thing like this can Linux skyrocket to 10% in only a year. they took 10 year to reach the 4% of users, now the following year can reach higher levels thanks to Microsoft
Microsoft knows they are courting PR problems with this 2025 date. PLENTY of consumers and businesses will continue to use their unsupported systems, and they'll get compromised making M$ look bad. Best case scenario is they come out with some "Win 11S" hobbled version to dangle to people. Whichever, it's just more corporate greed. They're trying to beat Google at their game by hoovering up customer info from the client side, and they need Win 11 and all of its info sucking tech on as many systems as possible.
Hello. Please bear with me as a) I'm a n00b when it comes to integrating updates and rebuilding Win 10 install ISOs, and b) I'm very sleep deprived, but I'm hoping this'll get answered while I'm having nightmares, I mean dreaming about this. I'm trying to create an updated Win 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC ISO using W10UI. Following @Enthousiast's update guidance. However, there is one file I don't see a download source for in the original post, and Google hasn't been very helpful: windows10.0-kb5011064-x64_NL_NDP481_NL_LP_10.0.1.8028.cab Does anyone know what this is, and where to get it from? Thank you for your patience. Now for some greatly needed sleep!
