The sound card on my computer is Conexant. Device manufacturer does not provide Windows 10 driver for it. The final version of the Conexant HD Audio Driver for my device is for Windows 8, it is not compatible with Windows 10. When I open the inf file of a newer version of the Conexant HD Audio Driver for Windows 10, I see it contains the same VEN and DEV as my device but different SUBSYS. Can I add my device's SUBSYS to the inf file to use a newer version for my device? Code: %HdAudioFunctionDriver.CNXTCodec.DeviceDesc01% = HdAud2075x.DMic,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_510F&SUBSYS_17AA5026 %HdAudioFunctionDriver.CNXTCodec.DeviceDesc01% = HdAud2075x.DMic,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_510F&SUBSYS_17AA000B %HdAudioFunctionDriver.CNXTCodec.DeviceDesc01% = HdAud2075x.FM, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_510F&SUBSYS_17AA5027 ...
Hi I'm not sure as to how many of the updates to grab. en-gb_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_7fe51fe8.iso I wont be using Defender, Edge or Office. I really hate asking daft questions... But I dislike making unavoidable mistakes.
Updated the 1904x Updates Overview: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-21h1-2-vb_release.80763/page-16#post-1571109
after using w10ui got 22000.434 / 19044.1466 iso under the VM boot has EFI error. (22000.376 / 19044.1415 works fine.) update: switch BIOS mode works fine. compared 1415 and 1466 all files found .efi files diff. update #2: maybe is VMWare's problem.
I could have sworn that it is disabled, certainly never turned it on. Let me check to see what the status is.
It's auto-enabled on computers with a 10th or newer gen intel CPU. Go look for something called "Device encryption" under Update & Security and disable that crap.
Ahhhhh so its located at 2 different locations, how very Microsoft of them. I checked the other location in 'Updates & Security', it seemed to be partially enabled there so I turned it off.
I don't know how MS thought that enabling this was a good idea. I thought that several of my clients were crazy when they told me that Windows was asking for a password to get to the desktop and they didn't know what it was. I had to wipe-out like 8 machines before I found out what was causing it. Make sure to disable it again if you format your computer at some point, because it will certainly be back lol
