Err... Windows 10 has gone RTM - why are there still Previews??? Is it like a Preview for a Service Pack or Updates? This should've been a downloadable update... I cannot be bothered to re-install Windows 10 again... What have they changed or improved or added or fixed???
Each VM has its own hardware ID and requires separate activation. It does not carry over from the host.
Yes, it was me who did the upgrade to W 10 with NOD32 installed. I'm thinking now should i go for the newest build 10525 via upgrade? or to make Clean Install of 10240 RTM? L.E: So 10525 it's time-bombed or not? whats with Evaluation copy expires?
Read back a few pages, you have to have 10240 on before 10525, then post 348 is how I did it to get to 10525, Remember to do it right, first 10240 uninstall AV, right click on taskbar, select task manager, then startup tab, disable everything in this folder, right click on each item and select disable, make backup if activation is cool, Don't worry about NOD32 for now, leave off, Defender is cool if you do not go to pervy sites, after backup, go to post 348. Wait on clean install until after 10525 comes out for real, right before it comes out you can put backup back on that takes you back to 10240 so you are ready for real thing. Good luck You probably will have better luck than me because you can save nothing as you just put 10240 on. Time bomb about a year but that does not matter as I will put backup back on that takes me back to 10240 before 10525 is released for real and permanent activation. I would go back to your previous OS and upgrade to 10240 first uninstall AV, that I think is what the problem was with first upgrade, then make backup
What are you talking about? Build 10525 has been released, that's what Windows Update is currently delivering to insiders and that's what people in this thread are all upgrading to. There will not be another "magical, more real" version of 10525.
I'm still on 10240 build, i downloaded the ESD file from WZor twitter, converted the ESD into ISO file. I was thinking if i could make the upgrade via Setup.exe like i did with 10240, not via WU. If ill go with this method should be remain activated, right? atm. i don't have AV installed also Windows Defener is turned off. What to do... the question is: Clean Install with 10240 or upgrade to 10525?
Excuse me, am I missing something, yes 10525 has been released to Insiders, why would I give up permanent activation for this, when or right before 10525 is released to public, not Insiders, I will put permanent activation backup on and upgrade with public, do you see now.
Yes you are missing something. 10525 is a preview build for insiders. When public release happens it will be something newer than 10525.
Clean install 10240, make backup, make sure you uninstall NOD32 first, after clean install make backup copy, then upgrade to 10525 save nothing, disable startup items, Defender will auto start when you uninstall NOD32
I know, that is why I have backup from this morning with permanent activation, prior to whatever they release I will put backup back up back on and upgrade with public Not backup of 10525 but 10240
You seemingly don't know, as you are contradicting yourself within a few posts. Is it that difficult to write one or more of "oops" "sorry I was wrong" "cool, now i know better" "thanks for pointing it out"? You are not even bothering to properly read what other people are writing. Yes I understand that you are making a backup to save your permanent activation. That's indeed a smart move. Other than that, you are posting nonsense.
Sorry if you do not understand it, I just wanted to test drive 10525, put backup back on and upgrade to whatever with public, makes sense to me.
