Same here. Just downloaded the EN-US ESD, renamed it to 10532.0.th2_release.150822-1406_clientpro_ret_x64fre_en-us.esd and it just worked.
Now i tried es-ES x86 that I just put in the previous post and... it works! So maybe something is wrong with the x64 esd (maybe the file is corrupt)...
There's a lot of feedback there about it, but there's a larger question: is it a bug or a feature for non-touch systems? Has anyone seen confirmation from MS that this is actually working as expected for desktop systems? The most I've seen, from the blog post, is that it's a work-in-progress, but that doesn't speak to this. I fear that it is working as expected, but I bet they'll bow to pressure and reduce the spacing. However, the spacing was already larger in some places in Win10 RTM vs Win 8.1, such as taskbar icon context, even on desktop systems.
