Microsoft released a couple of updates: KB3106638 and KB3105216, they seem to have sorted out few annoying issues amongst which, the crashing of the compression engine (WinRAR and 7zip) when clicking on a compressed file. Another nice one is KMPlayer can now play files in sequence, it couldn't before the update. One more is the fingerprint login routine, it used to not open (occasionally) and not try again after failure, which forces the user to login using password... but it is still too early to merit it has been completely resolved. The random internet explorer behavior seems to have been settled and it now gives a feeling of solidness..
Well, that caused a BSOD with "process1_initialization_failed" message.... I restored and I will start resolution process by deleting the bootcat.chache from C:\Windows\System32\CodeIntegrity.... Let's hope Microsoft did not screw up... and that this issue will not take me long to resolve.. Remember, this is still a non-finished product..
So this is for 10565 ? OK This is for 10565 but MSFT hasn't posted what it is for. There is something new in Build Version 10565.th2_release_flt.151020-1357 The flt has been added. What does flt mean
Yes, it is for B10565... It seems to change the system to: 1511 (OS Build 10565.41737) .. Now, deleting bootcat.cache did not solve the problem in my case... in fact on the second attempt, it failed to restore.. However, I think I sorted it... I will update the message once I ran a couple of tests to confirm the solution.. Update: Looking at the error gave me a hint, I changed the BIOS settings from Advanced Host Controller Interface "AHCI" to "Legacy"; I was able to boot in Windows 10 B10565. Restoring it back to AHCI resulted in temperamental booting and BSOD. To narrow it down, I tried Booting in AHCI mode while disabling "Secure Boot", it worked.... So, until Microsoft issues a new update or a fix, for those who face this problem: 1- Disable "Secure Boot" or (if it does not work for you) 2- Change the Controller Mode from AHCI to Legacy or IDE I have noticed that the booting time has significantly been shortened!!!!!
I got an problem: When I restart my PC after installed update KB3105208, I got the BSOD with error: PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED Somebody help me
Yeah now there's a experience I'd rather avoid having again (But it is a insider build so I guess I should be expecting the occasional snag.), anyways I searched for the KB number and I'd post the Reddit thread if I could but I can't post URL's yet but what was found was that disabling secure boot in the bios worked.
Probably for the best, MS will of course release a fix but it could take a while longer and until then yeah you probably would not want to install this update, hopefully they'll take it offline entirely as soon as they learn about this error. (Uninstalling it seems to fix the problem too if you have the means to do so and then secure boot can be safely re-enabled without encountering this BSOD error.)
Update installed smoothly Notice that after the update few explorer tweaks in navigation pane were gone. Reapplied them. Winver reported a change in version. System seems faster. Its just the two arrows on all compressed files and folders are still there ( 10565 bug ).
