Good news...! Magician 4.8 is out & finally supports Win10... (Including Rapid mode.) To that end, I shall include some interesting numbers...these are benchmark runs, Win10, 10565--first is my 850EVO 256GB, Rapid Mode; next up is RAID 0 on 2x 500MB Seagate Barricudas; last a 1TB 7200rpm WDBlue.
Just tried to download it and... WTF Samsung... "Download Limit Exceeded"? Seriously? What a bad support.
I'm running version 4.6 with an 840 EVO and it says "You have the latest version of Magician." I wonder about this software...
I had to disable Rapid mode, it causes my poor old 4 GB RAM system to hang. I was hoping the new version would fix the problem but no luck.
RAPID mode is intended for systems with allot of free RAM. It loads stuff into RAM pretty much like a cache drive, except it's supposed to be "intelligent" In all actuality it's pretty much useless and only fools benchmarks. If you read some real world tests on most major big websites you will see that most conclude it is useless for everyday usage and is actually likely to slightly slow down the system instead!
What I have found to be better than the magic of the magician for data transfer is to mod your bios to the latest rom module and run the windows driver that complements your boards module (even if not modded to the best for your board). The latest drivers may not be the best for older boards . Regards
B10240 is pain in your opinion because you have not used B10565... B10568 is much better. Any way, Build 10576 is already available, and they are saying it is a "Gold Build", so it would be worth installing... I would install anything over B10565 even if the final release is a couple of days later because it has so many quirks..
