Thanks. But I guess, when the build gets out from insider preview program, an update will be officially pushed to windows update.
The Windows Insider Program will never release a version for LTSB. Only Enterprise, Core, Pro, Single Language. LTSB are prepared for business so they arent going to release a Insider Build of LTSB
Ok, I understood that. My 2nd question was about the updates (from insider preview program) that are only for the versions you wrote; will the updates, be available also for LTSB versions ?
If MS creates a new ISO for the big update in November or Redstone in 2016, I think that LTSB will not remain on 10240
Thanks for your info. Regarding this build, 10565. If I install this, and not 10240, is there a problem or future problems regarding updates, activation option? Can I, let's say start the Windows 10 Pro with this build, 10565 and not 10240?
You already have any 8.1 Pro activated before? If you upgrade to 10 at least one time your Windows will remain activated. If you didnt do it, use KMS
I have yes. I have a mak key for windows 10 pro also. The q was is it is let's say safe to start with this build and not 10240. I also have an insider access and backed up windows 10 pro (v.10240).
antonio8909 is right. LTSB is like ESR Firefox or LTS Ubuntu. It stays on 1 build for an extended period of time while the regular versions update regularly. Eventually they'll put a period and release a new LTSB that'll be a rollup, to (for instance) v10600. Current LTSB 10240 will not update to 10600, at least I don't believe so. If you want to run the newer LTSB version, you'd have to install that (which should be allowed over the top of the previous LTSB). LTSB's stay whatever they are, they are only patched for security. Feature wise, it'll always be 10240, but it'll have security updates that 10600 has. LTSB is not meant for features. I was thinking of migrating to LTSB, but I'd rather trim the fat off the standard Pro/Enterprise release and have the newer features as they come.
After fresh installing this build, I'm unable to connect to college WiFi that uses a username and password to login. My wireless card is a Intel Wireless AC 7260. Anyone else have this issue or have a fix to this issue?
