He means, I gather, that there are UEFI-specific hardware drivers available (that have nothing to do with Windows device drivers) and the "performance" he's talking about is boot time--which IIRC is much faster in a UEFI system.
Mmmmmm... I think you're better of hoping for a new builds somewhere in mid-January. The next build is probably also when they'll release the source code of Chakra.
File transfer window Anybody experienced that the file transfer (copy/cut - paste) window is missing? After I upgraded to latest build, it doesnt show the file transfer window anymore therefore I cannot track the progress
I use mainly TotalCommander. Just tested in Build 11082 and: YES, the transfer windows isn't more there!! BAD!!
I thought only me experiencing this. Glad that its a bug on latest build. I know about total commander. Have used them before (during xp and vista time) but as I dont tranfer files alot, I never used them. I just noticed earlier when I am transferring some music on my usb for car playback. Just dont know progress so have to compare original and usb copied files
yes its not there in the latest beta build, I get the impression it will be coming back once they fix the kernel? will be rather upset if it doesn't.
this been discussed in the thread it's a known bug in Redstone 11082, everyone's using teracopy, btw good thingy
I use teracopy, very nice program and I will most likely keep using it even when the bug is fixed. I suggest to read the list of bugs that MS releases with the builds which would have informed the OP about the issue and has been discussed in other threads.
KNOWN ISSUES: Languages packs and features on demand will fail to install on this build. When copying, deleting or moving files there will be no progress dialog box shown. The file action will complete without intervention. This can cause confusion when acting on large files or directories. With this build, application defaults for some applications will be reset. Music & Video will default to Windows Media Player. This can be reconfigured from settings app. - Microsoft.
It seems windows 10 is going backwards.... I'd put this back to 8.1 if it wasn't for the hassle .......
For the life of me, I cannot get the preview to ever show in windows update. I've followed just about every known guide out there and it never shows up. I basically am forced to find ISO's else where.
