Early Beta Code ? A minor bug ? As I'm aware Windows 10 is released ! Just how long would you expect a minor bug to go on before being fixed ? As said, Windows is heading in the wrong direction in my opinion, and although that may count for nothing in the greater scale of things, but when they give it away free, and allow pirated copies to be upgraded free, it also seems to be going the way of past failures from a rushed out release by Microsoft.
Yes Windows 10 has been released and the current "consumer grade" build 10586 version 1511 does not have the file copy bug. MS clearly outlines all the bugs yet people still seem to complain about them. If you don't want any of these issues then you should not use fast lane insider builds. Your post implies that this file copy bug is in the current consumer grade 10586 build.
This is what happens when non insiders with limited IT skills get their hands on betas. His next response will be to say he is a corporate admin with decades of experience and a full MSDN membership.
BTW releasing a build with zero visible improvements and with a very evident regression wasn't surely the brightest move ever on MS part. They had just to delay that release for a week (or maybe just for a couple of days). There was no need to hurry.
It's holiday season around the world, so by Microsoft! In that mean, the absent right hand didn't know what the left hand is doing and/or vice versa! We're all imperfect humans, so the employees of Microsoft!
Exactly. Hence less time to test it/less attention from betatesters, a further reason to delay that release.
A quick look at Total commander and IMO is not as good as Norton, but Norton is so old it doesn't work properly now..but still use it sometimes Why? well e.g. it would list all your files on your computer (and of course any directory) then you would say select *.doc and it would give a complete list of all docs. Also in the chosen list you can select file size or date. I often wonder why MS (or anyone) doesn't add this feature in
This is the first day back at work for MS at what was probably two weeks off for most. It doesn't make sense that there would be a new build even anytime this week.
