Once again the Win10 Lock screen preview images are available w/ images on this build. (Windows Spotlight) You can find the pictures (without an extension, so you have to append .jpg) in: C:\Users\<Your_Username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets sample of new ones (I think there new anyway) Edit: there is 39 items in the Assets folder in Pro x64
I upgraded, one of my win7 programs that streams video on my network stopped working. (This program worked in every insider build from the very beginning). I ran sfc/scannow, some network file corruption error, unfixable. dism restorehealth wouldn't work, dism won't go online for some reason,so back to 10586. If anyone tries sfc/scannow and/or dism restorehealth and succeeds, please let me know. Thanks johnm
@jmacie, Just run sfc/scannow to completion on my machine, "did not find any integrity violations" sooo all is good? Usually after an upgrade, it says it fond and corrected errors! 11082 appears to be running very well on my machine - only one little hiccup so far when it did not wake properly from sleep yesterday arvo, forced a restart and its been fine ever since. sfc /scannow normally finds nothing since the release of 10586 but after driver installs it did find unrepairable errors. To me this is not "running smoothly":
We just got 11082, but MSFT already has this internally. They will break 2 weeks for Christmas and come back strong. 10.0.11087.1000.rs1_release.151216-1944
Thanks 2happy, now that I know sfc/scannow is working, I have to keep checking. Maybe I will make a fresh install from esd.
Thats weird why there RELEASE in the tag name ? its should be beta, RS1 should be released in half year oh its just mean its public
My Windows Update produces error (0x80248014) after going on for ever. I tried the usual fixes like scanning for errors (none found), stopping the services and deleting the SoftwareDistribution (no difference) and the WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab which produces "Service registration is missing or corrupt" Not fixed.. The system is running on VMware Workstation 12.1 Is this a new known bug, I mean feature?? Update: I removed .NET 3.5 and 4.6 and reinstalled (from the net) and it installed successfully!!! I also logged in a different user (Administrator) and fired WU, a black sign popped from the side saying "an update is being installed" I think it was OneDrive, and WU was saying Checking for update. It ended with the same (0x80248014) Retry...
Build 11082 not showing copy/paste dialog Now this is a major problem for me. This UI is not showing at all: The process works and finishes fine, it's just that if I want to check the percentage of it, or I want to cancel it, there is no way to do it. Does anyone knows some reg fix?
