I think we have to re-learn a lot of things. The package list is made by over 3000 packages, way more than the 1800 or so of 10240. So many things must be split, other replaced and added...
The usual apps that I uninstalled were reinstalled. If this behavior didn't hold true on the stable builds (not just insider), I'd have nothing to complain about. But even when updating the stable builds things such as Sport, News, ect.. always get reinstalled. I think this build uses a bit more resources than the previous build. I noticed my cpu fan powers up a little more.
For sure God that's why they call them " major wave/updates " what else did you expect when these major updates are put in the oven "just a little new icon gets revamped or simply the new builds numbers only get changed " I believe in around the end of the year or for sure in 2017 you will be looking at one more click upwards in the kernel department they way its looking with all these new major updates in 2016 then you all will see a major change " major change can be a good thing or a bad thing " till that time comes lets wait and see focus on what is in hand Lets pray by then no new socket designs get certified " you know where then we all will be heading "
BeBoos, Time for a windows 10 repair or a fresh install "get ready get your stuff together and get at it when you have the time "
I just noticed that "This new build fixes a known issue from the last one with the progress dialog when copying or deleting files via File Explorer now showing up as expected"... Is NOT true here. Anyone else? I see two reports of it in Feedback, at least. Update: False alarm. It was an odd byproduct of having Teracopy installed but disabled as the default file handler. I uninstalled it.
BUG I found that using a KVM switch to switch between the Test rig1 w/ b11099.rs1 x64 & the Main rig w/ Win10 Pro x86 RTM on it that the Main rigs desktop icons are rearranged, every time. I have them secured in place so this doesn't happen any more, except now w/ this build, never happened w/ b11082.rs1 note: I have 90+ file/folder icons on my desktop, so its a bit of a pain to rearrange them back to normal again. Has anyone else noticed this happening to them that use a KVM switch to switch between PCs? I filed a feedback (problem) w/ the Windows Feedback app in this build.
Can I upgrade a PC running Win 8.1 directly to 11099, or do I have to upgrade to 10586 first, then to 11099 ?
