I am very glad I came to MDL looking for the install.wim for this build of Windows 10 in the Insider Fast Ring. I've been having issues with DLLHost.exe crashing because of msvcrt.dll which is the built in Visual C++ runtime and DISM couldn't find a source to repair it. I specified the WIM from this ESD and fixed the problem in a proverbial two hops and a click. Much appreciated! (Edit: How have I only had one post since joining in 2010? Wow.)
i know most of you do not have flash player issues with this build but for me it does not work on IE or firefox. on edge it kind of works but lot of lag. i tried reinstalling flash, did not help. for those of you who had similar issues have you guys found a fix yet or i just wait for the next new build.
I too have Flash problems, Firefox freezes when watching some things and Sometimes IE causes my main screen to blink on and off black screen(2nd screen TV on hdmi doesnt blink). Happens so randomlly maybe few times a day I notice my Main desktop blink on and off. Worst stream to cause blinking got to be channel4 on demand(4od). Cant reinstall Flash as theres no EXE for IE to repair or reinstall. This been bugging me last 3 or 4 Builds.
Try this: In ADMIN Cmd Prompt Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth When you use the /CheckHealth argument, the DISM tool will report whether the image is healthy, repairable, or non-repairable. If the image is non-repairable, you should discard the image and start again. If the image is repairable, you can use the /RestoreHealth argument to repair the image. If image is repairable: With ISO Media in CD/DVD tray: (The same media you installed image with) Type in ADMIN Cmd Prompt Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:M:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess press enter on keyboard, wait for it to finish--M would be drive letter of your CD/DVD tray, remember to change M to your CD/DVD drive letter. After that in ADMIN CMD Prompt run sfc /scannow is just to make sure all is well. Be aware that if you have modified your system files as in theming explorer/system files, running sfc /scannow will revert the system files such as explorer.exe back to it's default state. Make the appropriate backups of your system files that you have modified for theming if you wish to save them before running sfc /scannow.
Hello. Can I upgrade my Windows 10 to the insider preview version without losing my applications and data?
OK, I've upgraded without any problem. Is there a list of differences between the Inisider version and regular Windows 10?
