No problem for me in Thailand! The DL speed is as it should from Europe, the USA, Asia incl. Japan! I gat on all on my 30/3Mbps connection more than that, up to 50Mbps down and 3.8Mbps up, so nothing to complain!
The upgrade on my Home Desktop has need more than 3h, but, that's just OK because of my overall installation on that machine. Not too buggy, 99% works very well and faster as the latest build! Let see how it will be the next few days!!
Nothing really interesting ... Build's was a big yawn. 10.0.14260.1000.rs1_release.160203-1700 10.0.14259.1000.rs1_release.160202-1800 10.0.14258.1000.rs1_release.160201-1837 10.0.14257.1000.rs1_release.160131-1800
it's faster and came with a new DX12 build which was a dam good build since i work in ue4 i got better results than last build also cpu performance is better and this build uses less ram all pretty epic for me i am not as picky as most
This insider build is quite amazing actually very solid i like it! these under the hood improvements are very visible actually. and this build came with DX12 improvements?
Oh, that's too bad. If Setup is forcing the IDE driver, it's doing it very briefly: I have an SSD, and it's still in AHCI mode afterwards (11102->14257) with no blue screens along the way. You said that your 850 EVO flat-out wouldn't work without AHCI, which is kind of weird unless that's a development with a new firmware revision. Unrelated: Is anyone seeing a Handles leak in runtimebroker.exe? Mine is up to a staggering 238K with under 2 days uptime. To see Handles: Task Manager, Details tab, right-click column header, Select Columns.
D3d12 improvements won't show anywhere until your GPU drivers support them--and that's if your games also support them....I cannot get either 14251 or 14257 to install (see my earlier post.) For me, these are the worst builds since I began in the Insiders program 10/14.
Yes, I figured that I probably was one of a few because if it was the AHCI driver problem then a lot more people would be reporting the issue. I was able to install 11102 without difficulty, but then reverted because of the bug in the graphics stack. But neither of the next two builds...14251 or 14257 will install--and believe me I have tried everything to figure this out. Yes, the EVO only runs under the AHCI driver and will not run at all under IDE--that's the way Samsung made it. But your AHCI driver is working in the builds...so that sort of puts me back to having no theory at all at this point. The weird thing is that after each failure to install there's no problem at all with an auto-reversion to my previous 11099 on the same Samsung SSD! Weird, eh? But it has to be something Microsoft is doing in the last builds--several other people in Feedback have reported the same problem as me with both builds. Can't figure it out as of yet.
not sure if this could work but I have a samsung 850 evo ssd on a intel h97 chipset and I loaded the intel ahci-raid driver in setups beginning and worked with bios set to ahci, don't know about raid mode never used it
