I also updated my old Test-Computer from 14267 and that was done with some bad surprise: ALL private files and data were gone, as well as the Chrome settings include Extensions, cookie, Temp files, whatsoever, Chrome was like a new install! Normally, in the Windows.Old folder, all those private files and data should be there, they didn't! All installed Apps are in place, the bad effect was just for private files and data! On my Laptop, which I updated first, all went well and also the BSoD are gone (for now?!)! That outcome will prevent me from updating my other computers to this new build.
as i couldt find a en-gb_windows_10_core_14271_x64 i created a iso from the eds file on my hdd. extracted it onto my desktop and ran the upgrade. still the same issue. thats after a disk cleanup/sfc scannow. let me know if you find a fix as it looks like you have the same problem
Had a few BSODS relating to netio.sys. Using netio.sys from build 14267 and no more crashes (thus far...). Obviously not ideal mixing builds, but 14271 without the older netio.sys was unusable for me crashing like it was. Okay, spoke prematurely. Still no good, and looks like it's not only me that is affected. If you have the error and are a proper insider, upvote it so it will hopefully get fixed quicker.
The rule about unofficial iso's is because they aren't verifyable, so everybody could put in unwanted stuff, and MDL most likely has an agreement with ms about what is allowed and what not.
Is anyone getting two white back and forward arrows on the taskbar? Right by the time you can see it and click on it and the icons do move. I never had this on .67 build. Is this a bug or something on my machine. Edit: Sorry just noticed a few posts up someone mentioned about 5 icons gets rid of it and I can confirm that!
Hey mods/admin, would like to clarify on the definition of homebrew. I thought homebrew only applies to image captured from an installed system. P.S. Is it okay to post the 'install.esd' copied from "$WINDOWS.~BT" folder? Thanks.
In simple posting full non official homemade ISOs (like AIOs) is not allowed, anything that is .esd or anything from MS servers goes all good here
