You have probably noticed that 14301 was built around the same time as 14294, with 14295 being newer. I am guessing 14301 and 14306 are in-testing builds for the BUILD conference, and contain those new mysterious features. The 14295 etc is likely to be for general release, if one is released before BUILD. The BUILD build, or newer probably won't be available until couple of days after the conference. Any fixes in the 1429x range will likely be applied to the 1430x builds as well. If we don't see a build tomorrow it will be interesting whether they release one on the 29th, a day before BUILD, or whether they'll wait and release the BUILD build, or successor, on either 31 March, 01 April (a Friday) or wait until the following week. They have released builds on a quick succession before, but seeing as there are 1429x and likely BUILD builds 1430x, I suspect the plan was at least to release a new build for this weekend. So, possibly new 1429x build tomorrow as an interim before the feature enhanced 1430x builds after the BUILD conference.
Look at what you wrote. After releasing 14291 to more Phones, MSFT wouldn't release a higher Build Number for PC's. They are now releasing same Build number for both Mobile and PC's.
As long as Satya Nadella is in charge, MSFT will never give up on Win 10 Mobile. He is totally sold on "Windows as a Service". PC and Mobile becoming one.
I looked at what you wrote. Just because they released 14291 for more Phones has nothing to do on whether we get a new build for PCs. Just because they released 14191 for PCs and Phones at the same time last week does not mean that they will be released together going forward. What is the source of your information on that? I think the only criteria is whether or not a new build is ready be it for PCs or Phones or both.
Source? Do you not follow the Win 10 Team Members on Twitter ? Follow the Insider Blog ? Follow Satya Nadella, Head of Microsoft ?
Clean install done as well as all the other software I previously had installed. Until now everything is ok
Seeing as no new build today, we probably won't see one until 01 April. If one is released before the BUILD conference it will be a token gesture, since it won't contain those new features that they will be announcing. These new features are currently unknown since they are unannounced, they could be really awesome sounding, or they could just be 'that would be useful for developers' sounding. Very vague right? The features are claimed to be exciting, but the nature of said features is unknown. Anyways, if you are waiting for a reinstall and can wait, I'd probably suggest waiting until seeing what this new build holds.
empirical: 291 used 20% of the cpu on idle. 586 uses 0-1-2% on idle. This is the only reason I reverted back to 586. edit: I liked the new edge very much. Favorites bar now can show only icons and also has new mouse add-on to return or close edge. neat. sort of a mouse school or it closes without your intension because or your gesture.
