That is a peculiar case. I would suggest you do the following: 1) Check for latest firmware update for your Evo 840 from the official website. 2) Scan your system for any malicious software and remove software you installed lately. 3) If you have any Anti-virus software apart from Defender uninstall it. 4) Put your SSD on possible evaluation using the right tool. After that, try to do the upgrade again.
Sadly, I've done most of those things before I even did the first upgrade, save for the SSD check. Which I just did and checked out okay. I usually know what's up as well, but I seem to be king in getting strange upgrade issues. Thanks for trying to help out though.
They are temp links, they only work for a short time, so gotta get them pretty much as soon as they are posted
Well thats interresting This build broke RDP for me if I open a RDP on my primary window theres no issue, but the moment i fullscreen it to my 2nd monitor windows explorer suddenly starts chrashing. the moment I close RDP or move it back to primary screen it stops again.
Listed in known issues Your PC may freeze when plugging in an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller and other gamepads in this build.
Worked great... Thanks! Upgrade ran smoothly and completed the first time, glad to say, 14279-14291. Nice to have the systray fixed... Also, I always copy my $WINDOWS.~BT back to my c:\drive and rename it to 1WINDOWS.~BT-Copy so that when windows removes the original after some time I still have these files lying around if I need 'em...if anyone finds this of some use...
No, a couple of random hard hangs, never happend with any other build. I think its the lock screen related
Updated to this version and my wifi was hosed. I was able to ping out to the internet but nothing else worked. Had to revert back to 1511.
Same problem here. Got error message "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service"!
