Since the release of 10586 aka 1511 the iso/windows install can readout the bios oemm key and will use it to autoselect the correct version from the Multiple Editions iso (even during upgrade) and it will be activated by a key instead of a digital entitlement.
Any magnet link for 14332 Pro en-US 64-bit ESD hi guys, helping a friend with unreliable net, so direct download is out. Does anyone have a magnet link for build 14332 Pro en-US 64-bit ESD (untouched) ? If not, any magnet link from a reliable source for ISO of the same WITHOUT activator or anything, please Thanks a million in advance.
I can't use this build. I get a BSOD during the last stage of install. Did a little research and apparently the problem is not uncommon. Microsoft have no solution for this.
Been under the weather in more ways than one today so I haven't had a chance to try on a Pro OS but I can't get auto activation in a VM on Home. On My 8.1 Core drive I installed build 1511 last week in VM then activated it using the Win 7 HP key off a HP desktop. Got the generic 8HVX7 key. When I install 14332 on my Win 10 build 1511 Host in VM I get the same key but it's Not activated. If I enter the host's embedded key, it activates and the key still shows 8HVX7. Personally I'm not smart enough to figure out what this means except to question what exactly is the definition of "Digital Entitlement"
Means your machines HWID is used against MS servers to activate, instead of a product key Looks like you can't get a digital entitlement with a bios oemm key activation, which means your VMWare guest won't have one either This is a custom built machine, no bios oemm key, activated with a genuine Win 7 technet key, which gave me the digital entitlement for the hardware I wonder if it is possible to slmgr -ipk a genuine key into your machine and get that entitlement
Well it looks like Kaspersky is the problem trying to update to 14316, 14328 and 14332 FROM 14295 as on two hard drives I installed the official W10 new install and then upgraded with the 14322 DVD and no problem...but then tried to install Kaspersky on both drives and it wouldn't install with an error with the file hlhk.sys. You'd think Kaspersky and MS would co-operate better with these builds and will have to use AVG free until it's sorted out.
No I get Digital Entitlement automatically on the Host, I just can't get a Digital Entitlement to auto activate a VM like You did ? I still don't see how that could happen given the different hardware configurations so I'll try later on both a custom built and stock desktop that have activation by upgrading from Win-7. Expecting storms today and again tomorrow so I'm not planning on doing anything else as long as My internet and electricity stay working. Before I quit testing torrents for Crapware I was doing most of My testing on Win 10 VMs inside of Win 10 Hosts and I'd just KMS activate the VMs. It'll give My OCD something to concentrate on that's a lot Safer for My equipment
Hmm, I'm using NAT...I'll try again with the laptop. Don't like running the desktops with the lightning. Having connection problems again too, so don't know if I can stay online
Yea me too, but I always chance it and keep them running Don't have a surge protector either Last storm hit the electric cable a few streets down and fried my gfs nannas TV
So it has something to do with how to VM is connected to the host then, which determines if the guest shares the PID or not
That's what I'm thinking but remember I'm not too smart Maybe it's a Good thing I'm doing a reset install on the desktop ? That should tell Me for sure Fresh Install of Everything. It'll take a while though with the old Athlon 2x4 630 on a mechanical.
