Microsoft keep mentioning that it going to release Windows 10 rs1 to public by end of July. Ignore the expire date. It got nothing to do with public release of Windows 10 rs1
End of july will be the releasedate of the 1607 RS1 MSDN/VLSC iso's, they won't have a timebomb or Insiderpreview watermark, that was what MS_User meant. The IP program will continue (probably with RS 2?).
Is it worth to use preview builds? I cant go to a release build after I have installed a preview build, or? So, when I install a preview build and rs1 gets released, I'm still on the previews? Basically, go from non-insider -> insider until a build gets released to public -> go back to non-insider?
you can go from insider to RTM when it's done and yet i find using insider builds worth it as you get to report bugs and have the os optimized for your hardware
Okay, never used any preview and I'm pretty curious about it. If I download the latest preview build and use it until RS1 gets released, do I need to re-install with the released (probably a new) ISO?
no you can just update through WU but take my advice before you run that update uninstall all video drivers audio drivers and wifi it will lead to less issues after the update is finished and make for a perfect update
Great, thanks! And I thought I need to re-install with a "fresh" ISO to stop getting previews builds.
Damn... Is there some way to crack it or convert it somehow? If I have to keep re-installing new builds of Windows 10 on weekly basis, then I sure as hell won't be installing Preview builds... Besides, MS Preview builds can have severely debilitating bugs, can't they? I use my PC for gaming and as Home Theater...
I meant ACTIVATION or whatever you call what KMSPico and such tools do. Is there no way to HALT updates in Preview builds? Doesn't each build require re-installation of the OS, like it did with 10240 to 10586 upgrade?
Even if you use KMSPico to Activate, the Build will still expire. Yes each Build is basically a re-installation. x86 is 2.06 GB for ESD x64 is 2.65 GB for ESD x86 is 2.74 GB for .ISO x64 is 3.67 GB for .ISO
I actually legally own Windows 10 x64 Pro (used free upgrade from legally-purchased Windows 8.1). I guess it won't work. Are saying that even KMSPico Microsoft Toolkit developers can't find a way to prolong Preview builds expiration or halt it? This means that MS Preview builds are more secure than the official public releases! That can't be right.., can it?
Activation is totally different than a Preview Build Expiring. No you can't prolong an Insider Build from expiring. These are Beta Builds and are not meant to last.
If I were you I'd forget about Preview Builds, after Anniversary Update their probably won't be as many until Redstone 2 needs testing, you want a stable Version, get 1607 when it comes out, sit by and relax
