OK, that's a test machine, restarting... Cya OK, I'm back, it took a lot of time to restart... Now it's doing the install thing from the beginning, let's see...
I was hoping someone would try installing Win 10 Home in VMWare the way Mr. x or Magic figured out by using Bridged Mode on a Host with a Pro DE and run the troubleshooting tool to see what happens With Win 7 HP, You just enter the Pro or Ultimate upgrade key and it'll unlock already installed features. I'm wondering if this tool is just a useless way to get You to buy a Key, or all it does is tell You that You need to install the correct version
I think what it is intended to do is confuse people who do not know better into buying license PS: Dona I love MS, please leave me activated
This is just me, so i'm not telling anyone to try this, but after all the crazy stuff I have seen today, if I was a Insider not activated on 10586, I would have to try and see if it would activate PS: MS I still LUV you guys
I think what happened to Mr.X was just a "Fluke". If changing a HDD causes You to lose activation, people like Acronis, Future System Solutions, etc. aren't going to be very happy. I use Casper 8 by FSS to clone My OS drives and then boot them to make sure everything works properly. Kinda useless to make a bootable backup that won't be activated
Once you are deactivated, backup copies do you no good, when they deactivated me for adding RAM, I tried 10 backups to no avail I used Acronis backup Remember, activation is stored on MS servers, not our computers
Yes of course, on this build 14371, and I really hope it's fixed for good L0L But remember I was running my tests using 1511.22.
wow, hmm, i have swapped hdd's and swapped hdd to ssd, also added memory (on multiple systems) never been deactivated for any of those times. only when i swapped a motherboard out was i deactivated on windows 10 so far
Does not happen often, but talking to MS trying to explain to someone who barely speaks english, well be happy my friend. PS:MS, I really do like you guys/girls Bat.1, I thought you would be working on activating a backup copy that was deactivated. If the old unthank button was still there, Bat would be standing on it.
