Sorry everyone, I'm going to jump back on the tracks for a moment. The other day I installed the Windows 10 Pro upgrade release on a netbook. Downloaded and made the install media via the Windows MCT. I followed the insructions found everywhere for disabling Cortana and the Bing search integration. Worked great! Today I installed this build version 14390 on another laptop I have. I realize that they are two different builds and this one is meant more for beta testing. I tried to do the same on it of disabling Cortana and remove the Bing search integration the same way. Not working at all. Followed all the instructions for disabling Cortana, and it won't disable. Have everything switched off and she's still running. Won't give me the option to disable Bing integration either. Anyone else having this problem? Wandering if it's something changed in this release, or if I'm missing something. If I can't shut her up I'll probably wipe the install and go back to the official release, but I'd rather stick with what's installed. Sorry if I missed something from not reading through all 50 pages of Pokemon GO (wrong thread) RTM, SSD and Ice Cream discussion (that part made me hungry, but all I got it blue bell). In my skimming and quick search I didn't see anything like this mentioned. This is also my first time using an insider preview, so if it was discussed on another release I wouldn't have looked there.
I have run server 2012 R2 for years no sweat only if you want to use the ftp function it is a bit a kind of an job I ended up making an extra account just for the ftp to work. Server 2016 runs fine too BTW
Still kind of amazes me they are willing to abandon the testers of the build. I mean one more release that removed the timebomb would have been more reasonable. Guess we will see what happens in the next few weeks.
