I thought that installing the build from 14901 will be perfect for my computer but it damaged the startup... I'll never make a update from the previous build...
Dude, u had installed a Insider build which could have bugs in it. So don't you be surprised if is there any bugs. Don't you understand the Insider Program and stuff?!
There are bugs in it. For example, there is the Start not having the shutdown button, etc. That is part of what Insider Previews are for.
It doesn't work on clean/unmodified installs in MSIE11/Edge either, i also use Firefox to check if the intercepted tlu url works/downloads the esd.
The same issue I also got here. Not tested cortana, but shutdown only using right click on start menu...
No Telemetry Tweaks used on my computer. I tried it on a netbook with Windows 8.1 Pro and I get the gibberish there too. I also looked at IE in the Task manger when the gibberish is shown and CPU usage goes up to 50% and Memory goes through the roof almost 2GB. Like a bad script is executing which usually results in IE totally crashing and closing.
This one is what I resort using at the moment until the shutdown button is restored back to its proper place.
