@Xinso, i once had a math teacher who wrote on the school-board with his right hand and wiped it simultaneously with his left hand Please don't edit so fast
1 reason, many Microsoft employees take 2 or more weeks off this time of year for Christmas Holidays and don't come back till Jan. 2017.
Now the UUP arranges the editions in seperate ESDs and CABs, but downloads/installs only those for the edition in your language. Interesting, isn't it?
Not this early in the month. They go on break somewhere around the 19th, and even than it isn't as if they completely stop compiling. Not on a daily base anymore, but they do continue. For example, last year they continued until 30 December. The reason you give here isn't the reason at this moment. The only reason right now is that Buildfeed simply isn't listing compiled builds.
They may still compile but only 1 Build was released during the month of Dec. 2015 (11082) No Builds were released in Dec. 2014.
First off, them releasing Insider builds has nothing to do with compiling new builds. Secondly, neither 2014 nor 2015 are representive years to look at this in the first place. At the end of 2014 Microsoft wasn't releasing Fast Ring builds even remotely as fast as they do today as that was just the second month of the Insider Program. In 2015, the Insider Program was in transition between Threshold 2 and Redstone 1 which always has a gap and in this case left a window that made only one build reach us. This year we're in full active development of Redstone 2 in December. But again, them releasing builds to Insiders has nothing to do with compiling them.
I need clean install. My machine upgrades, skips past the Welcome to Windows, we are setting things up crap, and goes to Black Screen with Cursor. Only clean install works.
The update wasn't as small as the UUP should be, they shipped all files including some esd's for other langs etcetc. Maybe next time only one esd will be offered, like these: Professional_en-gb.esd or Professional_en-us.esd. We'll see at the next release
Well if future updates only deliver files which need to be changed, then perhaps my upgrade should go well. Cumulative updates have always worked fine, but the full build updates stopped working about 4 builds ago for some unknown reason.
