Nothing but whiners in here about game mode it's funny, it wasn't designed for high end hardware in mind... it was designed for 5 year old computers and people with low and midrange CPU's and GPU's as well as laptops and tablets and if I'm correct Game mode has no effect in windowed mode, most games haven't been optimized yet so I would assume you would see negative effects.

With all that xbox stuff; Store Apps updating, running, connecting, collecting; telemtry and last but not least least windows update, all running in background on a vanilla systen they apparently need to integrate a 'game mode'.

Was shocked to see a fresh install in VM going online uncastrated bombarding me with news ... not sure what MS thinks is useful :hmm:.

btw, take more and more to boot from cold boot. This started with 14393 and its getting worse and worse with each new build. I guess, in the near future will take exactly the same to cold boot from and ssd that it takes to boot from an HDD in windows 7.
    Once again, congratulations m$.
Making your SSD run as a 3 1/2 floppy disk. Thanks so much!.

14393 boots up in 2-3 seconds after POST on a ssd.

My computer isn't that fast, and has never booted that quickly. I do have an SSD. I do know that build 15019 boots up very quickly, and seems to be quicker than the other builds. I have liked ALL the RS2 builds better than the RS1 builds. They just seem nicer.

    Garbellano,

There's a rumor going around that if you keep cutting down Windows 10, someone may deactivate you :fear2:

Nice one, but my system got a SSD shortly after i signed up here. It's not simply any speed issue that bothers me, it the growing lack of control over my system.

Windows as a service (the way MS is imagining) might be an idea for systems only used for browsing, gaming and some 'office' stuff, what might be the majority of user systems in private. There are still a lot of handicaps in this for other user working styles.

i myself insist in having control, as much as possible.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Seems as though they fixed the GSOD caused by legacy SATA controllers.
I love it when they never acknowledge an issue but fix it without mentioning it either.

So why they removed this option in this build?
Unless I'm blind and have changed location...

Ran all night without a GSOD. On the previous 2 builds 10 minutes was as long as it would run before crashing.
