Oh no. Seams Microsoft removed the option for disallowing the installation of hardware drivers by Windows Update from Settings>Update and Security>Windows Update>Advanced Option in this build. I was hoping I was wrong... so it's removed. The feature was working for me in previous builds!
Well the HDs are 2 years old and the computer about 6 years old...but if I select the non insider HD in the Win 10 screen there is no problem, just if I select the insider HD...I'm trying to avoid a clean install to see if the problem goes away and was hoping this upgrade would solve it....h'mm if further upgrades do not, I'll format the hard disk and start again.
Where would one find a product key for "Windows10_InsiderPreview_Client_x64_en-us_15025" I installed the core x64 build 15025 on my Alienware laptop and I wanted to upgrade it to Client x64 pro. Any help would be great. Thanks
I thought you had core installed, insiders builds do not need keys, show me screenshot of winver, type in run box OK, I think I see now what you are trying to do, no need, Creators Update which includes all of 15025 will be out for Pro on or around 31 Mar 2017
I just upgraded by using that key under the activation area in settings. I now have pro on the laptop. I did not know I could do it that way. Seen how to do it in your post #78 in "How-to-disable-Windows-10-Driver-updates" Thanks for the help.
