Both VMware Player and VM VirtualBox have the same bug on one of my test machines. After installing VMware tools / Guest Additions, right click on task bar doesn't work. Does anyone knows if it happens to MS Hyper-V, please?
Laptop is activated with HWID. The question is: HWID Activaction will be lost if switch from Insider Pro to Insider Enterprise ?
People will complain about anything Microsoft whereas most of the times they are the ones at fault. The Windows 10 Cloud is meant to target some section of the society not for the power users. We already have other windows 10 to serve that purpose as well as non-power users. The failure to see what the tech giant stands for through its software is very disturbing, most especially, when it comes to those who doesn't read about the operating systems before installing them and lashing out.
one of the worst ever since: via wu took 3 hours, 3 reboots to finally hang on hardware compat test, had to reimage after that stage.
1. It is not my problem. 2. Do you have the Cloud edition installed? I doubt that. MrMagic, sure I won't install it
The same is happening with my 32 bit Windows 15025 on VirtualBox 5.1.15-113242VBox / GuestAdditions_5.1.15-113231 installation. There is also a problem dragging and dropping from Host to Guest desktops and vise versa (Guest Additions related), it can result in taking huge CPU resources which can be relieved by killing "VirtualBox Guest Addition Tray Application" process. But all is fine on my 64 bit Windows 15025 on VMware Workstation 12.5.2 / VMware-tools-windows-10.0.10-4301679. I used (mainMem.useNamedFile = "FALSE") in the VMX file to utilise the system Paging File and prevent freezing (actually about 13 minutes delay). Both installations are on the same HP Envy laptop. I might as well add that I cannot "2 Finger Scroll" in VMWare, but I can in VirtualBox. However, I have another Dell Notebook with identical setup and I can "2 Finger Scroll" on Workstation. The difference is that the mouse is identified as HID (where I can 2FS) on the Dell, while on the HP Envy it is HID on VirtualBox and VMware pointing device on the Workstation.
10525 hasn't solved the problem I had in 10519 i.e. I have two HDs and easyBCD is my manager..well from cold if the win 10 screen comes up for choice of which hard drive to select (insider is first) then it hangs on welcome, so if I reboot and the dos screen comes up for choice of hard drive then it will boot up
HWID's are only usable on client windows editions: Home (+N) and Pro (+N), once established they are for the lifetime of the hardware the HWID was established on, and linked to a MSA it's even transferable.
This build is almost unusable on my laptop with integrated Intel Kaby Lake graphics turned on. Lots of bugs (disappearing tiles in Start menu, no right-click in many apps etc). When I switch to Nvidia graphics everything's fine. P.S. Tried 2 different Intel GPU driver versions, same result.
