With future UUPs set to deliver only files required to update installed OS to new version, does this mean the end of new build ISOs?
Yes, so did I. I even created a 20 in 1, but I have read that in the future, possibly starting next week we will not be receiving all of the files necessary for a complete install. Just those files necessary to update to the new build similar to a CU.
Windows Insiders have been running the UUP bits for a while now and are already experiencing the benefits of differential packages as seen in the below.
My question remains: If MS delivers ONLY the bits necessary to upgrade, then how can we create an ISO from those bits? I would expect that we would need a previous install.wim, then integrate those bits offline using dism.
