Error trying to download this build: Some update files are missing or have problems. We will try to download the update again later Error 0x80070003
Normally if I get that error. I delete all contents in the SoftwareDistribution folder and then WU usually works afterwards.
After hit Retry 2 times, it restarted downloading it again and now I could restart but thanks for answer
Hi, i have problem with copy UUP files. When i should copy UUP files? Because when install is preparing then UUP files extracting and is a lot of folders in folder with UUP ;/ This all files have (7gb). After that i can't copy all files to local computer.
If you have more then 30Gb free on the C:-volume than UUP-files will be present in the Windows.old\SoftwareDistribution after installation is finished. Otherwise you had to copy Windows\SoftwareDistribution till the request to reboot. P.S: but you may RUN Decoder using Wisdows\SoftwareDistribution before Click on Reboot-request button pasting it into the Decoder path.
Worked fine from start to finish in upgrading from 15063.xx to 16170 via WU. Took about ~35 minutes. No problems, save for the text, "Hi! Are you the idiot who has been upgrading your OS every week or so? Hang on while we disorganize your GUI! Bla, bla, bla..." simply never showing up anymore at the end of a successful upgrade. Screen just drops out to a blank black screen that refuses all keyboard mouse interrupts--but drive light is churning so I know the routine is still functioning. Wait till drive light stops activity, then hard reboot and the new build comes up fine from then on. One of the new build's fixed issues relative to System (Enhanced) High DPI scaling in a game I'm running turned out to be have been corrected in this build as reported, so that alone made 16170 worthwhile for me...!
There are 61558 files in this build using esES Pro x64. I'll need more time to most it. It's 7GB! @Enthousiast/All please remind me, are the decrypted ESDs (from folder to ESD using abbodi's tool) allowed or not? I've never finished remembering that. Sorry
