UUP needs more space on the system volume comparing solid ESD: for x64 Pro it is better to have no less then 30+ free gb. Otherwise Setup will spend a time during installation clearing work files and tens thousands of UUP-files in Windows\SoftwareDistribution\download. Look into Windows\Panther\setupact.log, Windows\SoftwareDistribution\ReportingEvents.log. The latter contains time stamps of the WU agents indicating when upgrade was detected, when download started, when download finished and installation started. setupact.log contains timestams for the actions during setup AFTER WU agent have detected new build data. P.S: ReportingEvents.log contains data for SOME upgrades which give an opportunity to compare durations of the different upgrades.

Yes to both. Has timebomb and watermark. All Redstone 3 Builds from now till it comes out of Beta will have both.

Hi friend, thanks for your time but I think this is not my case because my system has 6 hard drive 1.5TB each and all of them has more than half of free space, and 32gb of memory.
There must be something else that this build did not liked and I will take a look on those logs you mentioned.

Nevertheless 1 second verification: c:\Windows.Old\SoftwareDistribution\download size should be nearly 7 Gb as all UUP-files will be in this directory. Otherwise, setup have deleted them due to the lack of the free space.

Real downloadsize Delta UUP = appr. 1.5GB

The files get expanded to about 6-7GB after download.

I know it and just want to indicate that when upgrading 15063->16170 with somewhat less than 30 Gb on C:-volume, I've got empty c:\Windows.Old\SoftwareDistribution\download. Thus have cleared additionly nearly 10 Gb on C:-volume and when upgrading 16170->16176, have got all UUP-files and installation continued 20 minutes less than 15063->16170. P.S: besides Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DeliveryOptimization size in BOTH cases was nearly 4 Gb

Since the small transfer limit, implemented by mega, it's not a good filehost for large files anymore.
I have downloaded the files by using an unofficial "download tool", should not be needed, imho.

Now we are talking the same thing, when you said that it was around 7GB I went to check my and it has only 3.97GB, I started thinking that maybe there was a problem so, I start checking all computers.
All of them went from 16170 to 16176 and all computers (7) has the same amount 3.97GB but I don't know how much time the others took because I didn't do it's upgrade but the one I use 'yes' it took 2h30m.:sleep2:
