The problem I've (again) with this build: using WU for to upgrade and my NIC settings were changed without authorization! Tha was by older Upgrades also the fact just the last few wasn't touch that setting again! Let see, what will be the next Upgrade?!
I finished updating with the ISO last night after 3 reboots... My PC got slower so right now I'm performing a clean install and getting ready for the bug bash.
I am loving the fact that now that they have "fixed" the issue where Edge opens an extra new tab when a link opens in a new tab, I now have that problem. Feedback hub got an eyefull.
Great! I was beginning to think I was the only one having the problem... But apparently, others are not who are running Reader DC, so now I'm thinking that it must be something that happens every now and then when upgrading to a new build--sometimes the upgrade install puts Reader into its own protected mode for reasons unknown, is the only thing I can figure--a protected mode which is incompatible with these IP builds. Most of the time it carries forward in a new build without a problem. Oddball behavior, certainly. Life in the Fast Channel...!
Unfortunately not here... also Glitch: Windows Defender NOT working.. C:\Program Files\ Windows Defender containing only 2 Folders (en-GB, en-US) + 4 .dll files (Strange) Could not get it started via Security Centre or Services Finally ran the following: Code: REG ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v "DisableAntiSpyware" /D 0 /T REG_DWORD /F>NUL 2>NUL REG ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v "DisableAntiVirus" /D 0 /T REG_DWORD /F>NUL 2>NUL Windows Defender MAGICALLY working again and.. C:\Program Files\ Windows Defender now contains 3 Folders + 60 Files
I think it is there and it is now called 'best performance'. At the Power Options it still goes with that old name. PS: You are correct. It is missing in Education version.
This is from clean install. Here, try this. Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg] "CurrentPowerPolicy"="4" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{025A5937-A6BE-4686-A844-36FE4BEC8B6D}] "PreferredPlan"=- [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{025A5937-A6BE-4686-A844-36FE4BEC8B6D}] "PreferredPlan"="8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c"
