error message shown right after insider update "text service framework not in execution" shoulg I worry about it ? thank you
It's part of the known issues with this build in the blog post for it's announcement that's linked to in the initial post of this thread. "" If you have display scaling higher than 100%, you may encounter a bug where the hit targeting is offset when interacting with various parts of the shell. This is particularly noticeable in Action Center, where it might appear that nothing in Action Center can be cleared, but can also happen with the taskbar Jump lists and My People. If this happens, go to Settings > System > Display and change the size of text, apps, and other items to something else. Once you’ve done that, put it back to how you like it and issue should be resolved. "" All in all this build of Win10 is shaping up nicely and the list of known issues is shrinking a bit but it's still a bit rough though it is a fast-ring build after all but they're getting close to finalizing it. (This bug bash event should help a bit, a few more releases and then they should be getting pretty close to a RTM candidate, still a ways off though but slowly getting there.)
I keep getting a notification that my insider settings need attention. When I click on it I get taken to the settings page where it tells me I am all set. 5 or more times a day. Has been happening since the previous build and did not go away with update. And the fact that the update downloaded and installed by itself means that there is not a problem.
It's a bug which has been present for the past couple of builds. Open device manager and click 'scan for hardware changes' to restore the cdrom to normal, note that this doesn't survive a reboot unfortunately.
The acrylic effect is extremely poor. They have tweaked it so much that it has lost it's fidelity. Now we just get rainbow banding which looks like heavily compressed jpg image. But when has Microsoft ever made a correct UI decision? Their designers are never able to come up with simple things. Just give a plain normal blur and get on with life instead of making gaussian blur complex and calling it some stupid name like acrylic. Acrylic is an El Cheapo material which turns yellow after prolonged air/pollution exposure.
H'mm bug for me as all I had was Firefox open and not connected to any site...went to watch TV for a bit and came back to the computer and it had shut down and I don't have sleep activated just monitor after 15 mins.
Anyone still on the previous build or have windows.old folder and can upload flags.htm file which path is :C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Assets\flags.htm ? thanks
