A user a few days ago linked a web to this method and the page page was edited with ***** that's why I didn't posted it but I used it two days ago and it works.
If I already have this string (didn't change anything) and there is a message in settings menu which sais " Skip Ahead is closed. ... you will have Windows insider program settings reverted" , it means I will get RS4 or not?
anyone having the issue when u click on the start menu its all transparent clear , no back ground...i have to re-boot for it to comeback.
When I did the reg hack, all I had to do was close out of the Settings App and reopen the Insider page. The option was switched to Skip Ahead. I didn't need to restart or anything. I then went to Windows Update page and clicked check for updates got the RS4 Update. On that topic, anyone else still have this warning and did not do the reg hack to get the build? Spoiler: Image
I, personally, like the 100% transparency for Start Menu, Action Centre, etc. I wish Microsoft would provide option for that at the Settings.
What's really bugging me is that I set my 16251 to Skip ahead and I was enrolled but when I upgraded to 16257 I'm unable to lock the Skip Ahead in. Looks like it isn't guaranteed if you have it now you will have it later.
Sorry, I wasn't clear. I did an inplace upgrade but then did a clean install. I kept the Skip ahead on the inplace upgrade but lost it on the clean install.
