I triple boot Win 7, Win 8.1, and Win 10 and I have to disagree on you saying Win 8.1 is a nightmare. With each new CU, it keeps getting better.
u forget Vista as a total bomb....well i remember windows 95C or E i believe it was their last version....did not run that bad....i think i have here some were.
I don't know what problems you had with it. But, it NEVER let me down. I never had a single issue with it, and it put the rest of the Win98 series to shame. It simply ROCKED!!!
ME worked fine overhere too, even vista did but i didn't like how some apps worked, in 7 all was improved what i didn't like in Vista.
hmm in this time I make part of development (in WMP) so I know all issues in this O.S. still I'm sure that millions of users also know Edit: in time after I make search in M$ Older O.S. Section I find only one request related to Windows ME so I believe that NO have here severals fans of this O.S.
I have just installed this thingy to prepare for Fall CU and well: 1. It is no longer possible to disable tasks for reboot and checking for Windows Updates (Winaero's method). 2. Windows Tips (ADs) have changed from "SoftLandingEnabled" to "SubscribedContent-338389Enabled". 3. MS has locked a few services: BFE, DNS Cache, Windows Firewall, WinHttpAutoProxySvc, EventLog. 4. TokenBroker can now be disabled, breaking store and anything, that requires MS login of course. 5. Windows Update Mini Tool does not work. 6. ADs in Settings now, hilarious.
