Just noticed that if you change "What kind of content would you like to receive?" from Active development of Windows to Skip ahead to the next Windows release The system updates from OS Build 16257.1 to Build 16257.1000
Yep. Noticed this yesterday. Microsoft have opened up their 'skip ahead' feature again, even if you do a clean install.
Again? No build? If there is a rollback issue, the people who doesn't want to have that problem can switch to Slow Ring until the next release. I don't see it as a reason for not release it. Anyway most of us we're going to make a clean install so we will not have any problem...
Seems every couple minutes in build 16257.1000, ctfmon.exe exits with a fatal exception in its InputSupport.dll, causing my keyboard and mouse to become unresponsive for a split second while it reloads ctfmon.exe. I tried blocking ctfmon from even running, as I don't believe it's required for anything aside from telemetry data and input devices that are outside the default mouse-keyboard configuration, but... it reverts its settings back. Really annoying bug.
I had this bug back in 227 or 232, its sad to see them only a month out and still struggling with bugs that were present months ago.
It's a bug exists in a few builds before but it's now gone for me. You are wrong about the process, as a Chinese user, ctfmon.exe is a must to be able to switch to simplified chinese as well as other asian language input methods. If I delete it or disable it from running I can only be able to type English....
Such a sad news I have patience I'm on LTSB because the creators update screws my sound ! I want to see if it's solved in the Fall update !
