Dona said that they can't release a build because FBH doesn't open... You can release it and send via Store an update for reenable that app.
Strange.. I'm sure they released much worse builds before. But i don't know what this FBH app is so it might be a "show-stopper".
Exactly right, Insidering is all about a 5 cent Windows Store app. But if that's true then what of Windows Telemetry, it looks less about bug squashing and quality control. I don't know if its NSA mandated snooping, but as I get older a care less about what people say and more about what they do.
I'm here for the features, I imagine, like most of us. Specifically, WSL is a game changer for me. But I didn't think I gave the impression I hated it. There are things I don't like about it, not that anyone should consider my complaints. But I think going from a major release about every 3 years to 2 major releases per year is probably too fast. I realize Ubuntu has a similar schedule but Google on the other hand only does about 1 Android release per year and that's a vastly simpler OS. They don't really feature-lock going into release, so you're almost as likely to encounter a new bug in late builds as you are to have one fixed. But that's just my own uninformed view from 30,000 ft. up and minor compared to my misgivings toward Telemetry and the increasing lengths MS goes to convolute disabling it. Especially after admitting in deeds that it doesn't really send them data that's helpful for the Insider Program.
That's not what she said. What she said is, "apps such as FBH" . So it sounds like it is a general problem with the runtime, and not a specific app, and in this case it makes sense to postpone a build. But still, I wonder what they change all the time "bugfixing" that causes such fundamental errors that prevent apps from running. To me it smells like they're working on a codebase that is not pretty stabilized in general (and never can because it's no wonder if you're doing just running releases and never deliver something "final" - the best excuse for saying "there's a bug, it's not serious, it apparently doesn't affect anything else, so I'm gonna fix that later").
Thay can release then an update via Windows Update... Anyway let's wait and see if they fixed it for today or next week.
Getting this weird update error in the store with an app named "Name not available" anybody else getting this?
