Im still on build 17025 and when i ty to update to newest build it got stuck on bootscreen? What could be a problem?
Could be the Chipset Drivers (SATA) on your Motherboard are no longer supported What Chipset does your Motherboard have ? NVidia ? It's listed in Device Manager under Storage Controllers
Hardware more than 10 years old! Could be the culprit, special it's old AMD hardware! Check Drivers and for sure, update the BIOS of the MB to the latest available!!
As I wrote in another thread, I have a problem with to get the CD/DVD/BD to work connected directly to the Mainboard! The CD/DVD/BD works with no problems to boot directly using a bootable CD/DVD/BD using the BIOS command but even isn't shown in Windows 1709 Device Manager at all, only a USB DVD Drive could be shown and work from within Windows 1709. The CD/DVD/BD drives are shown correctly in BIOS and are working!! That Mainboard is a Gigabyte GA-99 FXA, about 5 years old and updated to latest BIOS and drivers! Something similar to your Machine could happen to not get the Graphics Card/Monitor working correctly!! Try an old PCI Graphic Card if you have one to see you could get a viewable screen!
Its ga m720 us3 motherboard with nvidia chipset,i know its old like a Greece but every build worked well untill now
same here I'm still in build 17025, because 17040 and 17046 stuck in Windows logo after the first restart. seems M$ has broken somehow the legacy boot, in few mainboards with NVIDIA chipsets.
I have this problem with my i7-930 Asus board x58 chipset: all stuck on Windows Logo! But my Q6600 Intel Board Q35 chipset, work fine with this build!
