To be honest, since there was no new build last week, I dont expect much more than one build this year...
That was before msft decided to go for 2 new official builds per year, we can't rely on experiences from the past.
While what you say is true about 2 Builds per yr. (March, Sept) it is still true that MSFT closes down for Christmas Holidays till after 1 Jan 2018
Is anybody else having any issues where software will sometimes not run on this build? It's happened to me consistently since I installed the build and the only way to fix it is to reboot. It seems to happen after about a day of uptime. It only happens when the software is ran as administrator and where ever I tried to run the software from (desktop or explorer window) will get a constant waiting cursor and nothing will happen. The software is not actually running according to Task Manager. The weird part? All my installed software runs just fine, even if it requires administrator privileges and raises UAC. It's just software that isn't installed, stuff in my Downloads folder or elsewhere do not run if they require administrator privileges. Rufus - doesn't launch. Software installers that require admin - don't launch. The beta version of HWiNFO64 in my Downloads folder - doesn't launch. The version of HWiNFO64 installed - launches just fine. PCSX2 - launches just fine. PCSX2 with admin - doesn't launch. It's also gotten to the point where now trying to run programs that require admin just lock up Explorer and cause it to crash and restart. Running programs from the unprivileged command prompt result in the same thing, trying to Control^C the program does not work, it's a complete hang. The only two solutions I have found are: rebooting, which makes the problem go away until it comes back after a day; or, running the software from a privileged command prompt. After the problem crops up the only way for me to launch portable software as administrator is through a privileged command prompt. In fact, installing software through the privileged command prompt and then trying to run the same privileged software through Explorer actually doesn't work, problem still crops up. I'm at a complete loss here, the problem still occurs even if I disable UAC, so I'm pretty sure it is not related to UAC. It also isn't a domain problem because I can still access the domain controller just fine.
I've noticed the same issue. I started looking for viruses and malware thinking I had an infection. It's good to know I'm not the only seeing this.
