Atm i have solved it with etracting the 16278 IP iso to the usb and replaced the install.wim with the 17074 install.wim, it installed.
Last good ip iso here that did NOT do this was 17046.1000 using 17046.1000 iso to usb and 17074.1000 install.wim swap also worked here your install.wim swap worked, brilliant
Yes, that is true. But msft has deleted a lot of 170xx builds from UUP, so i took one that was still available and that installed fine
I was establishing a HWID for pro-ws and 16278 installed fine, so i used that iso for the install of 17074, i didn't check any other iso's
I have issues with the Windows 10 mail app.It cannot connect to anything and if I try access email accounts in settings it just crashes.I have done some research on this and there doesn't seem to be a working fix.Anyone else had this issue?
I have Pop/Imap, @Outlook.com, and @Gmail accounts in my mail app, and they all send/receive Ok Only on-going issues I have with the mail app, are that : 1) on a clean install it auto-creates a non-working mail account called "HxS" with my MSA email address 2) the "friendly" names I rename my mail accounts to, randomly and spontaneously revert to their default name(s)
I was able to set up gmail but my isp mail won't set up.This after uninstalling and reinstalling the mail app. Will keep trying
I am having difficulty upgrading to Education version in this Build. It seems like there is no provision for that version because all I am seeing when trying to upgrade is Pro version. Is anybody experiencing the same issue here?
In my tests with Enterprise and ProWorkstation it also stated to upgrade to Pro but ended up as Enterprise and ProWork.
These are the availaible upgrades from Home: Code: Target Edition : CoreSingleLanguage Target Edition : Professional Target Edition : ProfessionalEducation Target Edition : ProfessionalWorkstation Target Edition : Education Target Edition : ProfessionalCountrySpecific Target Edition : ProfessionalSingleLanguage Target Edition : ServerRdsh Target Edition : Enterprise
Thanks @ S1ave77 and @ Enthusiast. The issue I am actually having is that the system refuses to complete the installation without providing any error message. It keeps getting stuck at 7%, 10% ,24% or thereabout(nothing works even the cursor stayed frozen that I have to turn off the system by holding down the power button for sometime). I have been facing this issue for the past two days now with Education version while the other Build versions went through without any hindrances. My last resort though would be to do clean install - if after trying the last time without success. This is becoming disturbing as it affects some of my apps and USB port functionalities.
