it removes the Defaultuser0 account from the OS and User's folder, (it is a leftover from the install/setup process).
why to use a script when you can delete it from the "Computer Management " tool of windows 10 ? if its a left over , then is it a bug in 17134.1 ?
it is easier for those that not know about the other ways. it's been a 'bug' for quite a while (rs2 on-wards). I put together that script way back in 2016. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/solved-remove-a-user-profile-such-as-defaultuser0.70919/
it is not being deleted via computer management , it says it is a Built in account and cannot be deleted.
exactly. Hence why the script was written to remove it for those that not want to type loads of commands.
why? because if you force remove it you might end up with a non working OS! It clearly states : A user account managed by the system. Which means not end user, the OS has control of it.
@dhjohns this is the second time you gave me a script or tool that does'nt work ...and is not means for RS4.... 1. The office 2019 tool you gave me was broken.... 2. now this script you gave me is for RS1 to remove defaultuser0 account , where as i was asking about defaultaccount in RS4 .
@mxman2k i edited your script to include account DefaultAccount instead of defaultuser0 account and ran the script with admin rights , but nothing was deleted.
I have a question about storage on windows redstone 4 or 5. I have a 3 TB external USB drive . It is partitioned in three drives , whenever i hookup with my PC , only one of the partition shows up . Then i have to run Paragon partition manager and manually assign drive letter for other two partitions and they show up . Any idea why this is happening and how to avoid it ? i mean i want all three partitions of my 3 TB to show up when i connect my USB drive to windows 10 PC , which is running 17134.1 thanks.
must likely a bug in this insider build...this builds are for testing purposes only not meant to be use in a live environment.
I just tried applying esds, and it didn't work. The esds applies fine, but no regedit, and other things.
