Now i understand, you didn't understand why msft put the line of txt in the changelog, not the feature itself.
In this build, the option to free space from Settings-Storage-Free up space now, works well (in the previous builds that option didn't work well, at least in my case) and I realize that now also appears the folder Downloads: Spoiler That folder had already been included in the previous build by freeing disk space in the traditional way: 17672, but since the option to do it from Settings didn't work well, I hadn't seen that folder there.
Not sure what going on here but im not able to upgrade from build Win10 Pro 17666.1000 to either of the 2 newer insider builds. I download the UUP Dump convert into iso (17677.1000.180520-0940.RS_PRERELEASE_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_x64FRE_EN-US.iso) mount and run setup.exe and nothing happens. no error or anything. just nothing happens. Windows Update does see I have redownloaded and converted into iso automatically. I was trying to just mount iso and run setup.exe (from root of mounted drive) to do a inplace upgrade in a sense. was trying to avoid a fresh reload unless have to. Im starting to think a fresh reload may be my only option here but thought I would check! Windows update does see the update but when it says it will install at next reboot it never does. It just boots up into the desktop like normal. ~MC
If you have any other AV besides Defender installed -- uninstall it completely first. Also, you have probably fücked around with this update longer than it would have required to install clean, so you can go that route if you want.
Thanks. No 3rd party av installed. no crazy windows tweaks at all. just a stock install insider build. Well on the bright site I did expect odd things to happen given that its not considered a stable build.
