Not yet. I tried the simple uninstall manual clean of leftover crap then reinstall but same results. Have not yet tried v4.2.2 yet might try it just for the heck of it. Did you notice the same behavior on v4.3.1 too on this build? Trying to figure out if its just me or not.

I tried different skins but seems to make no difference. Maybe its time to bite the bullet and just accept that its time to move on into this whole new startmenu that win8/10 uses or use a different StartMenu alternative. I know there are a few, have played with a few of them. The main reason I have been using ClassicShell is that its just about 100% identical to the Windows 7 style startmenu and its free. :)

I did try 4.3.1 but it behaved the same as 4.3.0. I guess, we'll have to do with 4.2.2 for the time being and eventually move on as Classic Shell's developer has discontinued its development. On another note, I have not been able to access Accounts in metro Settings app. Every time I click on Accounts, the app hangs and closes itself after a few seconds. Anyone else facing this problem? Any other way to change profile picture?

These installs are for testing purpose only, it's the other way around: don't install these builds when you're not willing to be a tester.

Thanks but could not install 17686 because of bsod afd.sys, they fixed it but still shows in event viewer.

    Cheers.

I am having the same issue with Classic Shell. However, I cannot even get 4.2.2 to install. While I try to install the Compatibility Assistant tells me that Classic Shell cannot run on Windows. So frustrating.

Feels pretty stable have not seen any mayor errors, looks like MS CU are more unstable and dangerous that their insider previews ;)

Just rename the installation file to anything e.g.setup.exe, it will install just fine.
