Timebomb is a term used since the early Windows betas, people already used it in the era of Windows Whistler (XP betas) AFAIK. It's just a way of saying the system will be rendered unusable by that date (Windows will fail to boot). It's far from being something new for the Insider Previews. I'm still one of the old school people who thinks IP's are way less exciting than real WIP builds.
Did you read the tweet on Brandon LeBlanc page. I think he would know more then you correct or is he wrong also

yes, but somehow Windows reseted my Insider settings to Slow Ring, now I've changed it to Skip Ahead again.
