Is there a way to get Sticky Notes 3 without a registry tweak which changes regular Fast channel to Skip Ahead? (I did it by switching to skip ahead and then running update apps in Windows Store - works but pushes also skip ahead build which I had to hide with WUMT tool)
I have a problem with 17755.1 both on a VM (from 17751.1) and main system (upgraded from 17134.x). Action Center doesn't show notifications (or "no new notifications" when there isn't any), even if at the right corner it shows a number of new ones to be read, clicking it will show an empty Action Center. sfc /scannow doesn't fix it, neither installing 17755.1 over again. I didn't notice if the VM when it was upgraded from 17134 to 17751.1 was already showing the problem. Edit: Ok, it's some privacy or service that I've changed from default, but behaves differently on RS5. I'll update this post if I find it. Edit2: Found it. It's the Background Apps main switch. When it's off, I lose all notifications listing in the action center, but if I leave it on, but disable every app listed, notifications will still show. On this build, I don't have ESENT id 916 events like I've had on RS4 (in a 40m to 1h interval) that seemed to pop sometimes at the same moment games would minimize to desktop for no reason, or current window (browser or video player) losing focus. Even using processxp or or a window focus logger I could never identify the culprit.
Another bug, disabling virus scanner and firewall monitoring on the Security Center does nothing. Everytime I disable a third party AV, Windows Security notifications will pop.
I get it both on a main system with 3rd party AV and on a VM using Defender. That would be a waste of time when new builds should be released soon, thanks. Btw, if you don't get a Windows Security notification, confirm what I've posted above on #24, because unless you enable background apps (requires reboot then) on privacy settings these messages won't even show in the Notification Center. Still this could all be due to bugs on upgraded systems.
