I upgraded from 17763.195. I am going to try a clean install and see if that resolves the action center issue.
Fails to install.. Restart for an update and installation crash immediately, undo the changes and load the windows.... Windows update history shows: Last failed install attempt on 20.12.2018 г. - 0x80070070 I have enough space and obviously something is totally fkd here.. I tried almost every solution on the net, but nothing works? I don't want to do a clean install, have so many thing installed and settings etc, you know what I mean. Any idea what to do?
Clean installed and the action center bug is gone. So far so good with this build, unlike 18298.1000.
I rebooted multiple times and the action center quick settings wouldn't work. Anyway, clean install always feels so fresh and nice. Like a warm spring day!
Any1 succesfully install NET. 3.5 ? I try, but don't work for me. Edge installs extensions, but not showing it on the bar.
I'm not seeing the default tab setting for Task Manager, or half the stuff in the announcement really (like the friendly dates). Is this some A/B thing? The list for mach2 doesn't seem to know what # it is (TaskManagerSetDefaultStartupTab, I presume).
For me installing (upgrade) doesn't work as after a while get error 0x800700b7....tried sfc /scannow now and no errors....so looks like I'll have to wait to the next build
power down. unplug hard drives. ram test. heat test. clean the dust out. unless that's not what you are talking about? (my CPU coasts at 70+ and yes I do have a smoke alarm, you should too) Insider hint: you can listen to hard drives with a stethoscope move that to hardware forum I guess
you have to use chkdsk a lot if you have a slow internet connection. believe me I know. good luck. use a boot disk with 1809 to run the new chkdsk if you have any problems. NEVER USE AN XP BOOT DISK on WIN 10. big mistake. it is different code. (unsupported) you can get away with a Win 7 boot disk.
Well I have a fast internet connection and just now Used chkdsk and no problems..next I'll delete the softwaredistribution directory and start again as something was odd as it hung at 85% at "getting things ready" and I rebooted and that might have upset it.
