well ive tried to install 3 times from the windows update failed, i downloaded the build from uup that failed, i then deleted all the files in software download folder downloaded it all again made an iso out of it and that failed as well so no thanks microsoft you can keep this one
Saw this mentioned yesterday, hadn't looked at the latest builds for a while, so I figured why not. Used the UUP DUMP link, downloaded the aria2 option to build ISO, got the archive, opened an Admin Command Prompt, executed the script, used the ISO to install it in VMware Workstation 15, activated it using my Windows 7 OEM key off my trusty old Dell Latitude laptop, updated it from Windows Update without issues (just the Defender signatures since it literally was released yesterday). No issues, it runs very well in VMware, nothing special to me at all and I won't use the consumer version of Windows 10 - I use LTSC 2019 as my host/primary OS - but I suppose it's "nice," maybe. I do appreciate the work that so many have put into creating tools like aria2 and the UUP DUMP website however, it's a pretty cool thing and it's always worked for me without any issues so thank you to those people that provide such tools and put in a lot of effort to make these kinds of utilties handy for so many of us (even people like me that are part of the Insider program but don't actively use the latest and greatest constantly).
Just wish they dropped 19H2. We don't need 2 feature updates a year IMHO. Now, I think Version 2003 will be a very, very solid and stable release, thanks to a whole year of testing.
i think i have a temporary solution. I moved myself from fast ring to slow ring so for now that particular update is not showing up when i check for update so i guess for those having this failed update issue can do it
if you were on the skip ahead build it installs fine, seems updating from the fast build 18362.53 gives the error and doesn't install.
