Okay, I'll pass then & wait for the 21H1 20xxx.1 build without those two, December Mid or End hopefully.
I use only test builds as the main system on a separate laptop specially purchased for these purposes. And for the purity of experimentation I'm not installing anything else.
If there is going to be a 21H1, it would come from the Beta_Channel & that would take 6 or more Months of Testing with Insiders. Microsoft has not yet Announced what will be next for the Beta_Channel.
I know this, but if ppl dont test these critical things, everyone will suffer from it. Gaming is a selling point, less bugs the better. Exactly what is happening to the partition table im not sure, it should be a simple move to but i think the xbox scsi driver is tampering
There was some weirdness with languages at the very beginning of setup process in 251 build. 257 doesn't experience that issue.
... would be grateful if someone could point me to any info about Office not being compatible with recent builds (read it somewhere, but not sure where or when) Build was rock solid until I tried to save an Excel file, system returned an error 'unable to save file as there is not enough memory, or space available on the drive'. 48GB memory, 449GB available on system drive, 1.5TB+ on each of other drives. On restart, unable to boot into my profile 'system has detected an overrun of a stack based buffer in the BackgroundTaskHost.exe application' did search on the problem and done all the usual stuff (that am allowed) to try and resolve issue, but to no avail [Reset PC not available, cant do an in place/upgrade repair] Will not even enter profile (user account) with all non-microsoft stuff disabled. Would like to read up on the compatibility issue (as I would like to run with this build for a little longer, rather than re-install 19042) TIA for any assistance...
i hope next week we'll be back on rs_prerelease and i hope the x64 bit emulation for ARM comes soon -they said November
