This build is great . No freezing and disk cleanup does remove windows.old . Also downloading the build is super fast. Maybe you have issues . I would consider a clean install
Having problems with KB5003266...It installs from WU and after restart it shows up again. Done this three times already. Will try install from direct download. Stay safe and Wear a Mask !!! JCC2
There seems to be a bug in the dev builds of Windows 10 N editions, internet doesn't work (atleast on vmware)
Hooray Nordvpn is working with this upgrade (previous two removed tap driver)....I did complain to MS and maybe they read my\others bug post. Edit: spoke too soon as after closing down and restart a few hours later and Nordvpn is not working again.
Shouldnt remove it on dev builds...its a life line to roll back. I may oopt out of this one or at least pause updates, dont want freezing issues
If the folder is not getting deleted after disk cleanup, reboot pc and dig deep into that windows.old folder and start taking ownership of all files from the end and deleting one by one. file by file, folder by folder. It's usually 1-2 files in use which cause that issue.
i took full ownership of the folder and sub folder and still cant remove it must likely corruption during the upgrade....i will wait for the next build and see if i can remove it.
Applications still crash or bug out when switching window modes, as well as vsync lol, been going on for quite some builds.
EMCO unlock IT 5. Fantastic tool. Dig into the microsoft folders, delete all the unlocked ones then use that tool to finish it. If theres to many files in one folder you cant just delete it, it has to cleaned out. ALso if windows.old folder cannot removed, show all system files and drag into the recycle bin inside the recycle bin folder then delete the bin but not the recycle folder the bin is contained in.(set bin to direct delete). Next time you upgrade dont try and delete it, just set it has a hidden folder, its needed for roll back if anything should go wrong. DISM++ also has god mode
Not related (well kinda related) to this build, but I am having a problem integrating the new icons from this build to 19043.985. The problem is when a folder cointains some extra content, files, pictures etc., they are displayed incorectly (vertically) instead of horizontally. I've copied imageres.dll.mun, imagesp1.dll.mun, inetcpl.cpl.mun and shell32.dll.mun from C:\Windows\SystemResources and rebuild IconCache.db, but the problem persists. Any help?
