Since it looks like Microsoft Developed & TESTED the New Windows inhouse, what does this mean for the future of the Insider Program ? If it turns out the New Windows has few Bugs on Release Day, is there still a need for the Insider Program ? What do you Insiders think ?
I can't see microsoft replicating in house the sheer volume, numbers and diversity of locations and hardware that the insiders provide collectively. I think insider testing needs to stay
OK had a fresh install 21390.1 was running great for a week then I purchase ESET Internet security install it and locked right up what a nightmare I tried almost everything for it to boot back up in windows then i secured erase my SSD fresh installed 19043.1023 then after install kept get the smilely blue screen WHEI error something like that couldn't figured it out so i had to take my SSD out RAM out actually had to rebuilt my whole computer over and reset bios hard reset then tried 19043.1023 and relieved all is well again and even installed ESET , now here I stay on 21/H1 no DEV build anymore I learn a hard one
I don’t think it had anything to do with Insider build, most likely a bios setting and/or overclocking above a stable point. You said you did a bios reset and no more BSOD Also AV software can push the hardware much more causing stability issues
not overclocked was running for 2 years great until yesterday so not sure if ESET was compatible yet on sun valley or just some fluke it was like something living in some hardware memory we see if others run ESET w/o problems on sun valley
Sun valley is not a special new windows as far as we know (it's just cosmetic UI stuff), 21390 is Insider Preview, expect incompatibility all over the place.
Hello there, How in the world to remove windows antivirus on the new insider builds, tried everything online and doesn't work.
"Turn off real-time protection" group policy still seems to be respected so thats probably as far as you can cleanly go
Its beta release but its actually stable, im using it as main os and it works better than the stable version on my laptop. When i get the expiry prompt ill update
Hard configurator can hide the security center after turning off real time protection if it doesnt disappear. I dont understand why you would'nt use it, its certified for windows obviously, no slow downs and hard configurator can set your desired level of protection although its not for the amateur.
Well, I do it offline before install, and I have no trace of Windows Defender. Nothing in Settings, nothing in Start Menu, and nothing telling me Defender is not running or turned off. It is as if it never existed.
