    Yes, but you quoted a response from DanielRandy that he got from a rep. There is no official communication from a Microsoft person (who actually works for them) on there at all.

    Most of my corporate workstations were in a non-genuine state today, they were previously upgraded from OEM:SLP Windows 7.

    Launched VAMT, pushed a KMS Client key to them all and activated against my local KMS. All good.

    Told the boss his query to me asking why he was getting the activation message on his screen pretty much explained why people pirate Microsoft products. They make it so difficult to figure out how to get it legally (which edition/SKU/channel to choose) and when you do, then it might break anyway.

    From my vantage point, it looks like the problem has been fixed. I was seeing an "activate online now" message about 10 hours ago, but the activation failed saying activation servers could not be reached. About 2 hours ago, it worked. These were on machines upgraded from oem:slp Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro about 3 years ago.

    Is "Windows is activated with a digital license" the typical message regarding HWID activation?

    today I wasn't activated when i booted up ! so I rebooted and it seemed ok but about 10 min later it wasn't activated , the only thing I did yesterday before I shut down was updated my maps on my Garmin GPS. so windows told me to go to settings and activate windows , so I did and then it told me it was already activated and so far it hasn't popped up again . im running windows 10 64 bit 1809 17763.55 . so im not sure the Garmin did it, it does have an sd card in it and I had it plugged into a usb port at the time .

    It seems they've fixed the server at least. I ran the Troubleshooter again and now activated. So much for "linked to your Microsoft account" bulls**t.

    Did not had any activation problems on 1809 *.107 so too bad this is happening to people again MS does show how poor the quality is these days

    I received the Activation warning this AM when I started-up the PC.
    It was fixed easily by just going to settings & using the Activation troubleshooter, auto activated my legal copy.
