I don't know if this information has been written in one post, so here's summary... There are 3 ways to have 4 processors supported: - Install Enterprise - Install Enterprise and change key to ProfessionalWorkstation - Change edition from Core to ProfessionalWorkstation using DISM and then install Any other method will give only 2 processors working.
thanks a lot for theinfo a lot of confusing info in this thread..loaded enterprise and I'm good to go!
I changed from pro to pro workstation and my pc started to show weird behaviors like showing windows is getting ready messages when logging in and logging out, restart of windows explorer without any reason, bsod with bad pool reader, etc. I read some where that just changing the product key to pro ws will only change the name but that's not fully true. There are some changes made to the registry apart from the product key change and that is not favorable for a pc with a single processor may be. Is there anyone who faces these issues ? I reverted back to pro with product key change and all is fine now..
