@s1ave77 has made a very nice and easy to use tool Wim Edition Switcher which can convert to Pro-WS by just drag and dropping the install.wim on the cmd.
Getting PfW edition is easy and known i thought/guess he's talking about an working PfW edition that accept updates like the photo xinso posted https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...o-for-workstations.74909/page-42#post-1397433
In 16299.15 license switch activated ReFS support, but allowed processor count and memory size was not affected. In 17063 it was finally fixed.
They work as expected, not at all, by design RS4_prerelease 17063 seems to head in the direction of full working Pro-WS using the licenseswitch, prolly rs4 will offer working pro-ws and the update applicability list will contain professionalworkstation..
Hi everyone, I've been watching this thread for a while now. Got 17063.1000 Pro here. If I switch to ProWS from the Store, will this give me a "full" upgrade this time?
Ok, now it looks like it's working as expected. Via the license switch method... The Registry "CompositionEditionID" reports "Enterprise" And Dism says "ProfessionalWorkstation" instead of simply "Professional"... Great to see this finally working!
Thrilled to read on Microsoft's development forum that they plan to do away with the default Hyper-V switch. NAT junk like that should never be auto-installed.
